MicroExtract Integration Readiness Checklist

An integration should connect a reviewed document result to an authorised receiving process. Its scope depends on the actual interface and customer controls.

Define the receiving contract

Identify the system owner, the record to create or update, required fields, accepted formats and who can authorise the operation. Confirm the service account, tenant boundary and environment before connecting anything.

Do not use production customer data as an unrestricted test fixture. Development, staging and production should remain separate.

Agree operational controls

  • Authentication and least-privilege access.
  • Schema and version compatibility.
  • Duplicate handling and stable operation references.
  • Retry limits and ambiguous outcomes.
  • Exception routing and human approval.
  • Logging without document contents or credentials.
  • Rollback or disablement without deleting audit evidence.

State what is actually available

The public documentation allows scoped API, webhook and file-exchange approaches. It does not publish every endpoint, event schema or native ERP connector. Confirm customer-facing readiness before promising an automated handoff.

Raw OCR text, field coordinates, automatic inbox delivery and specific system connectors should be described only when included in the reviewed implementation.

Test one bounded action

Begin with a permitted synthetic output and a staging receiving system. Demonstrate both the normal case and a duplicate, rejected or review-required case.

A successful HTTP response is not always proof of the intended business update. Read back the relevant record or confirmation through the authorised test process.
